  1. Lisa Garland Martin

I have been looking for a John Martin, would have been born somewhere around 1840. He was my great, great, great grandfather on my grandmother Laura Martin Garland side. He had a 250 acre farm in Pleasant Valley area. His wife had maiden name of Traylor. He and his wife are buried in unmarked graves at Mt. Vernon Church on Yukon Road. He had 5 daughters: Nancy, Margaret (Mackie), Sarah, Mary and Celina (Selina) born 11/16/1860 in Georgia, died 12/14/1961 in Louisianna. She was the only daughter that married. Nancy had a son named William Harley Martin (unknown father) who inherited the farm which he later sold and moved to Whitestone. My aunt Janis Garland Mosley researched this for years, but wasn’t able to find out any more than this. Any suggestions or leads I can get would be appreciated. I would love to find out more info for my Aunt Janis.
