Mr. Thomas Bailey Murphy

Mr. Thomas Bailey Murphy, age 83, of Bremen, GA, the longest serving Speaker of the State House of Representatives in United States History, passed away on Monday December 17, 2007 at his Home in Bremen. Speaker Murphy’s health had been steadily declining in recent years as the result of a Stroke. Mr. Murphy shaped modern Georgia history as much or more than any other individual. An exceptional “country lawyer” from Bremen, he was first elected to the House of Representatives in 1960. From 1974 through 2002, Murphy presided over the House chamber during one of Georgia’s greatest periods of growth & economic prosperity.

Mr. Murphy was born on March 10, 1924 in Bremen, GA to the Late William Harvey Murphy and Leitta Jones Murphy. Additionally, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Agnes Bennett Murphy, his brothers, James Rutherford Murphy, Eugene Harvey Murphy, and Earl Murphy; an infant sister & a son in law, John Frederick Oxendine.

A United States Navy veteran, Mr. Tom Murphy served in the Pacific Theatre during World War II. His public career began in the courthouses of north west Georgia, where he practiced law in the Firm established by his brother & mentor James. James’ crippling arthritis often times required Tom to carry him up & down courthouse staircases. He began his political career as a member of the Bremen Board of Education. Often times characterized as a stern leader, Speaker Murphy’s reputation was tempered by the reality of his tenderheartedness. He truly believed and often said that those less fortunate should not have to start out life with two strikes against them.

Speaker Murphy will Lie in State at the Capital Rotunda in Atlanta, GA on Friday December 21, 2007 from 11:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and will then be moved to Lie in State at the West Central Technical College in Waco, GA from 6:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m. Funeral services for retired Speaker of the House Thomas B. Murphy will be conducted on Saturday December 22, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. from the West Central Technical College in Waco, GA. Interment will follow in the Forest Lawn Memorial Cemetery in Bremen. In Lieu of Flowers memorial contributions can be made to; The UWG Speaker Murphy Office Fund, 1601 Maple Street, Carrollton, GA 30118. The McDonald & Son Funeral Home of Cumming, GA is in charge of the arrangements.

William D. Agan

Wm. D. Agan, 84, Passes to Beyond
Mr. William D. Agan, age 84 years, passed away at his home a few miles east of Buchanan on Dec. 29th, his death being attributed to infirmities of old age.
Mr. Agan was born in Gordon county on March 4th, 1851, but had been a resident of this county for a number of years. He is survived by several children and a host of relatives and friends.

Marion A. Barrow

Funeral Sunday For Marion A. Barrow
Mr. Marion A. Barrow, 58, died in a hospital early last Friday morning after an illness of several months.
Funeral services were held from the Antioch Baptist church Sunday morning at 11 o’clock, with Rev. R. W. Johnson officiating, assisted by Rev. P.P. Johnson and Rev. R. L. Bates.
A large host of friends and relatives gathered to pay their last tribute of respect. Interment was in the church cemetery.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. M. A. Barrow, of Temple, two daughters, Mr. O. H. King and Mrs. J. B. Moore, of Waco; three sisters, Mrs. W. D. McKibben, of Hapeville; Mrs. D. E. Phillips and Mrs. W. T. Robinson, of Waco; six brothers, Mr. R. O. Barrow, of Zebulon; Mr. J. T. Barrow, of Cave Springs; Mr. L. O. Barow, Mr. T. M. Barrow, and Mr. E.V. Barrow of Atlanta; and Rev. H.S. Barrow of Waco.

Mrs. Lillie Bolden

Mrs. Lillie Bolden
Mrs. Lillie Ann Bolden of Wesley Camp Road, Buchanan, died Thursday, Jan. 21, 1993, in a local hospital. She was born in Haralson County, Oct. 8, 1909, daughter of the late Jacob Breckinridge Smith and Eliza Ellen Crawford Smith. Mrs. Bolden was a retired employee of the Arrow Co., where she worked for approximately 28 years, and a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church in Buchanan.
Survivors include three daughters, Betty Sumlin and Bobbie Sue Worley, both of Buchanan, and Joyce Davis of Tallapoosa; a son, Danny Bolden of Newnan; two sisters, Ruby Davis and Irene Monroe, both of Bremen; 13 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Bolden was preceded in death by her husband, Otis Hugh Bolden, in 1964; also a son and two daughters preceded her in death.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday, Jan. 23, at 2 p.m. at Tabernacle Baptist Church with the Rev. Buddy Gentry officiating, assisted by the Rev. Rodney Wilburn. Music was furnished by the Rev. Buddy Gentry and Harold Blackmon, accompanied by Pat Blackmon. Bobby Williams, Junior Robinson, Guy Redding Jr., Chalmus Weatherby, Junior White and Ray White served as pallbearers. Burial was in Buchanan City Cemetery with Hightower Runeral Home of Bremen in charge of arrangements. (Probably the Bremen Gateway – clipping did not have name of paper)

Amanda L. Boyd

Boyd, Amanda L b 26 Dec 1834 d 9 Sept, 1890

Miss A L Herndon was born in Elbert County, Georgia, Dec 26, 1834. Her parents moved to Meriwether county when she was a child.

She joined Mount Zion Baptist Church in 1851 and was baptized by Rev. N L Williams. She married Matthew Brooks in February, 1855. A child was born to her that only lived a few weeks whose father survived it but for a short while.
In December, 1857, the deceased was united in marriage to M C Boyd who still survives her. Six children was the results of this marriage. five of whom are still living.
Sister Boyd was an exemplary Christian lady always observing the rules and regulations of her church and attending upon it ordinances when practicable. She was greatly devoted to her family and highly esteemed by her neighbors.
Mrs. Boyd’s illness was of considerable duration and her suffering great, but she bore up under the heavy weight of affliction patiently and with Christian fortitude, looking forward to a home beyond the Jordan where sorrows never come. On the 9th of September, 1890, death laid his icy arms around her and angels conveyed her spirit home. Her mortal remains were laid to rest in the cemetery at Mount Pleasant Grove church, Haralson county, Georgia, to await the resurrection morn to come forth a spiritual body to live with the Lord forever.

Mrs. Renna Cauthen

age 90, of Tallapoosa died July 22, 1997.
Mrs Cauthen was born July 16, 1907, in Cleburne County, Ala., daughter of the late Thomas Morgan and Sarah Frances Mullican Buttram.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Noah Alvin Laminack and Luther Cauthen; a grandson Steven Laminack; Great grandson Shane Holcombe; sisters, beulah arnold and Arrie Perryman.
Mrs Cauthen is survived by her sons, Harvey Laminack, Lee Laminack both of Tallapoosa Jack Laminack of Fruithurst, Ala. and one daughter Selma Holcombe of Tallapoosa; a sister, Lillie Mcelroy of Tallapoosa; 15 grandchildren, 21 great-grand children and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were July 25 at Bethel Methodist Church in Muscadine, Ala., with Rev. Benny Abney abd Rev. Johnny Hulsey officiating. Music was by Valerie Mcwhorter, Teresa and Jennifer Patterson, and Harold Mcwhorter. Pallbearers were David Patterson, Tommy Laminack, Scott Laminack, Keith Pruitt, Rocky Daniel, Jounior Holcombe, Tony Akin, and Jim Phillips. Internment was in the St. Michael Church Cemetery in Muscadine, Ala.

Mr. Butler M. Davis

Mr. Butler Davis Dies Suddenly
Mr. Butler Davis, well known throughout this county, died quite suddenly at his home a few miles east of town last Friday morning at about four o’clock.
Mr. Davis had gone into the yard of his home in the early hours of the morning and a few moments after he left the house, some of the members of his family heard a noise like someone falling, and, hastening out they found him in the throes of death, being stricken with something like heart failure. Funeral services were held Saturday, being buried with Masonic honors, to which order he had belonged for several years. Several members of Buchanan lodge were in attendance.
The Tribune extends condolence to the bereaved family.

Mr. C. C. Eaves Passes Away at Early Hour Monday Morning

Mr. C. C. Eaves, one of the best known and most popular citizens of the county died at his home, a few miles out from this place Monday morning at an early hour after a short illness, aged 79 years. The deceased was a loyal and consistent member of the Primitive Baptist Church and lived up to the teachings of the Golden Rule, and the announcement of the death of this noble citizen will carry a pang of genuine sorrow to the hearts of many friends and acquaintances throughout all Haralson County. For there are few men more widely know or held in higher esteem that “Uncle Tobe Eaves”. He was an honorable, upright gentleman, generous, kindhearted and true to his friends and convictions and he truly lived a life worthy to emulate. The deceased leaves a devoted wife and nine children; J. C. Eaves, Judge W. T. Eaves, Dr. B.F. Eaves, D. E. Eaves, Mrs. W.A. Philpot, J. L. Eaves, B. L. Eaves, R. J. Eaves and Mrs. Emory Morgan to mourn his passing. Interment Tuesday in the burrying ground at Pineywoods Church, Rev. W. H. Hamrick conducting the funeral services. Peace to his noble ashes.

Adam Estavanko

Haralson County lost one of its well respected with the passing of Mr. Adam Estavanko of the Nitra community. Mr Estavanko passed away after a brief illness Sunday evening at his home in Nitra.
He was born in Kocise, Austria-Hungary (Slovakia) on 12-24-1874 and arrived in Haralson County in the late 1890’s. After a 17 year time away in Pennsylvania, he returned to the county in 1915. He was engaged in farming. He was a devout member of the Catholic church.
He is survived by his wife, Mary (Majda) Estavanko of Nitra and daughters, Helen Estavanko of Nitra, Mrs Noah (Annie) Maddox of Atlanta, Mrs Charles (Kate) Hutchinson of Detroit, Mrs Albert (Pauline) Rado and Miss Mary Estavanko of Lorain, Ohio.
He is survived by his sons, Mr Steve Estavanko and Mr Joseph ‘.Joe C” Estavanko of Detroit and Mr Joseph S. “Big Joe” Estavanko of the Nitra community.
He was proceeded in death by his first wife, Maria (Grega) Estavanko and children, Michael Estavanko, Maria Estavanko, John Estavanko and Margaret Estavanko.
Services were conducted at the home in Nitra and burial followed in the Estavanko Cemetery at Nitra.

Danny Andrew Estavanko

Mr. Danny A. Estvanko passed away on July 3, 1995 of a sudden massive heart attack at his residence.
Mr. Estvanko was born on October 23, 1945 in Haralson County.
Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Naomi Mae (Bagwell) Estvanko of Bremen; sister, Mrs. Donald (Dyan) Robinson of Carrollton and brothers Mr. Ricky Estvanko and Mr Gary Estvanko of Bremen and Mr Larry Estvanko of Temple and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Estvanko was preceded in death by his father, Mr. Frank A. Estvanko on September 14, 1990.
Funeral services were conducted on July 6, 1995 and burial followed at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Bremen with Hightower Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mrs Eula Estavanko passed away after a brief illness. She was a resident of the Nitra community for many years and farmed with her husband, the late Paul Estvanko.
She is survived by her sons, John Estvanko of Columbus, Ohio, Paul Estvanko Jr of Cleveland, Ohio and Frank Estavanko of Atlanta and 1 sister, Mrs Mary Estavanko of Bremen.
She was proceeded in death by a son, Joseph “Little Joe” Estvanko on 8-13-1949.
Servicies were conducted at Hightower Funeral Home in Bremen and Burial followed in the Estavanko Cemetery at Nitra.

Frank Andrew Estavanko

ESTAVANKO, Frank Andrew
Mr. Frank Andrew Estvanko passed away at Tanner Memorial Hospital in Carrollton, Georgia of a sudden illness on September 14, 1990.
Mr. Estvanko was a longtime resident of Haralson County having been born on March 13, 1913 to the late Paul and Eula (Timon) Estvanko in the Slovak settlement of “Nitra” here in the county.
He was a member of the Baptist faith and a retiree of Southwire. Mr Estvanko was an avid fisherman and had designed several pieces of equipment for use in the business field.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs Naomi Mae (Bagwell) Estvanko; daughter Mrs Donald (Dyan) Robinson of Carrollton and sons, Mr Gary Estvanko, Mr Danny A. Estvanko and Mr Ricky Estvanko of Bremen and Mr Larry Estvanko of Temple and several grandchildren.
Mr Estvanko was preceeded in death by brothers John Estvanko in 1981, Paul Estvanko Jr. in 1965 and Joseph ” Little Joe” Estvanko in 1947.
Funeral services were conducted at First Baptist Church in Bremen followed by burial in Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Bremen with Hightower Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Jacob Estavanko

Jacob Estavanko passed away at his home in the Nitra Community on March 2, 1923. He was born in Austria-Hungary on 5-15-1845 and was of Solvack descent.
Mr Estavanko had made his home in Haralson County since the late 1890’s and was a founding member of the Slovak community of Nitra. He was a farmer and horse trader. He was of the Catholic faith.
He is survived by his wife Mary (Czimar) Estavanko and a son, Adam Estavanko both of the Nitra Community. A brother, Paul Estvanko of Nitra also survives him
He was proceeded in death by a son Joseph Estavanko on 9-16-1909.
Funeral services were conducted at the residences and burial followed in the Estavanko Cemetery at Nitra.

Mr Joseph Estavanko passed away at the young age of 19 today at his residence in Nitra.
He was born in the village of Kosice in Austria-Hungary (Slovakia). He was a resident of Haralson County since the age of 9. He was employed as a farmer in the Nitra settlement.
He is survived by his wife Mary (Majda) Estavanko whom he married in Harlason County on 1-15-1903. He is also survived by a son, Joseph S. Estavanko and a daughter Katie Estavanko. Other survivors include his parents, Jacob and Mary Estavanko of the Nitra community and a brother Adam Estavanko of Hazelbrook, Pennsylvania.
Services were conducted at the residense at Nitra and burial followed in the Estavanko Cemetery at Nitra.

Joseph Cappie Estavanko

ESTAVANKO, Joseph Cappie “J.C.”
Joseph Cappie “J.C.” Estavanko, age 5, son of Joseph Steven and Lucy Cappie (Chambers) Estavanko, passed away at his home in the “Nitra Settlement” of Haralson County, on December 6, 1930. The cause of death was complications of dipteria.
“J. C.” was born on April 23, 1925 in Haralson County and survivors include his parents, grandparents Adam & Mary Estavanko of Nitra and several aunts and uncles.
Services were conducted with burial following at the Bethel Church Cemetery in Bremen.

Joseph Michael Estavanko

ESTAVANKO, Joseph Michael “Joe C”
Joseph Michael Estavanko, age 64, of 12128 Auburn Ave in Detroit, MI passed away at Westland Memorial Hospital in May 1970 in Westland, MI.
He was born on April 1, 1906 in Hazelbrook, PA and was a son of the late Adam and Maria (Grega) Estavanko.
Mr Estavanko moved to Haralson County, GA at age 9 with his family.
After arriving in Detroit as a young man he was employed at Gabel Dairy in Detroit and later worked at and retired from the Lincoln-Mercury Division of Ford Motor Company.
Mr Estavanko was married to the former Alma Beatrice Adams, and she survives. He is also survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Mr and Mrs Robert Cecil (Vida) Cook of Westland and by his step-mother, Mrs Mary Estavanko of Bremen, GA.
Other survivors include sisters Mrs Albert (Pauline) Rado of Lorain, OH, Mrs Carl (Kate) Flatt of Detroit, MI, Mrs Noah (Annie) Maddox of Atlanta, GA, and Mrs T. Riley (Helen) Brooks and Mrs Selma J. (Mary) Shadrix both of Bremen, GA.
Besides his parents he was preceeded in death by sisters Maria Estavanko in 1905, Margaret Estavanko in 1918 and brothers Michael Estavanko in 1905 and John Estavanko in 1915.
Local visitation and services were held in Detroit with additional visitation and services conducted in Logansport, IN where burial followed in Mount Hope Cemetery in Logansport, IN.

Joseph Steven Estavanko

Mr Joseph Stephen Estavanko, age 76, passed away in June 1980 at Higgins Memorial Hospital in Bremen, GA after a sudden illness.
He was born on December 25, 1903 to Joseph and Mary (Majda) Estavanko in the Nitra community of Haralson County, GA.
He was employed by and retired from the construction field after many years of service.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs Blanch (Wood) Estavanko of Bremen and daughters Miss Patsy Estavanko of Bremen and Mrs Robert S. (Mary Lou) White of Atlanta and by a son Richard A. Estavanko of Bremen.
He is also survived by his sisters Mrs T. Riley (Helen) Brooks and Mrs Selma J. (Mary) Shadrix of Bremen, Mrs Noah (Annie) Maddox of Atlanta, GA, Mrs Albert (Pauline) Rado of Lorain, OH, Mrs Carl (Kate) Flatt of Detroit, MI.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lucy Cappie (Chambers) Estavanko, sons Joseph Cappie “J C” Estavnko and Danny Stephen Estavanko and by a brother Joseph “Joe C” Estavanko.
Visitation and funeral services were conducted at Hightower Funeral Home of Bremen with burial following at Forest Lawn in Bremen, GA.

The Nitra community of Haralson County was saddened at the sudden death of Miss Margaret Estavanko today. She was the daughter of Mr and Mrs Adam Estavanko of Nitra.
She was born on 7-6-1912 in Hazelbrook, Pennsylvania and had been a resident here the last three years.
Besides her parents she is survived by sisters, Annie, Pauline, Mary, Helen and Kate Estavanko and brothers Joseph “Joe C”, Steve and J. S. EStavanko all of Nitra. Also surviving her are her grandparents Mr and Mrs Jacob Estavanko and Mrs Mary Timon of Nitra.
Services were held at the residence and burial followed in the Estavanko Cemetery at Nitra.

1847 – 5-17-1932
Mrs Mary Estavanko passed away at her home in the Nitra Community after a sudden illness. She was born in Austia-Hungary in 1847 and was of Slovak descent. She was of the Catholic faith.
She is survived by her son Adam Estavanko of Nitra. She was proceeded in death by a son, Joseph Estavanko on 9-16-1909.
Services were held at the residence in Nitra on 3-20-1932 and burial followed in the EStavanko Cemetery in Nitra.

Mrs Mary Estavanko passed away at our area hospital in Bremen on Christmas Eve. She had been a resident of Hara1son County for over 70 years.
Mrs Estavanko was born on 5-31-1887 in Kezmarok, Austria-Hungary (Slovakia) and was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Carrollton.
She is survived by daughters Mrs Selma J “Pete” (Mary) Shadrix and Mrs T. Riley (Helen) Brooks of Bremen, Mrs Noah (Annie) Maddox of Atlanta, Mrs Kate Flatt of Detroit, Michigan and Mrs Pauline Rado of Lorain, Ohio and by sons Mr Joseph S. Estavanko of Bremen and Mr Steve Estavanko of Detroit, Michigan.
She was proceeded in death by her 1st husband Joseph Estavanko on 9-16-1909 and her second husband, Adam Estavanko on 2-18-1940. She was also proceeded in death by her sister, Mrs Paul (Eula) Estvanko in 1955 and by children, Margaret Estavanko in 1918 and Joseph ” Joe C” Estavanko in 1970.
Services were conducted at OLPH Catholic Church and burial followed in the Estavanko Cemetery at Nitra with Hightower Funeral Home and Chapel in charge of arrangements.

Paul Estavanko

1868 – 8-25-1932
Mr Paul Estvanko passed away after injuries suffered in an accident in which he fell from a moving automobile. He was born in Austria-Hungary and was a resident of Haralson County, coming from Pennsylvania.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs Eu]a (Timon) Estavanko and 4 sons, MrJohn Estvanko and Mr Paul Estvanko of Ohio and Mr Frank Estvanko and Mr Joseph “Little Joe” Estvanko of Bremen.
He was proceeded in death by a brother, Jacob Estavanko in 1923.
Burial was in the Estavanko Cemetery at Nitra.

Steve Estavanko

ESTAVANKO, Steve
Steve Estavanko, age 77, passed away at the Westland Convalescent Center in Westland, Michigan in November 1985. He had been a resident there the past year since suffering a stroke.
Mr. Estavanko was born on March 12, 1908 in Hazelbrook (Luczerne County) Pennsylvania to the late Adam and Maria (Grega) Estavanko.
He was married to the former Lorraine Pastore, and she preceeded him in death in January of 1985.
He was employed at Gabel Dairy in Detroit and later at Detroit Edison for many years until his retirement.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Mr and Mrs Steve Estavanko of Michigan and one granddaughter, Elizabeth Ann “Liz Ann” Estavanko; sisters Mrs Carl (Kate) Flatt of Detroit, Mrs Albert (Pauline) Rado of Lorain, OH, Mrs Noah (Annie) Maddox of Lithia Springs, GA and Mrs T. Riley (Helen) Brooks and Mrs Selma J. (Mary) Shadrix borth of Bremen, GA.
Besides his parents he was preceeded in death by his step-mother, Mrs Mary Estavanko in 1971 and sisters Maria Estavanko in 1905, Margaret Estavanko in 1918 and by brothers Michael Estavanko in 1905, John Estavanko in 1915, Joseph M. “Joe C” Estavanko in 1970 and Joseph S. “Big Joe” Estavanko in 1980.
Services and burial took place in Michigan.

Mrs. Emma Long Estes of Route 1, Bremen, Ga. Passed away in an Atlanta Hospital Tuesday afternoon Nov. 9, 1954 after an illness of several weeks.
Mrs. Estes was born in Haralson County, Feb. 7, 1879, the daughter of the late Phoebie Holcombe Long and James W Long. She was married to Kim Estes March 29, 1900 and was a life long resident of Haralson County. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
Beside her husband she is survived by five daughters, Miss Alma Estes, Miss Bertie Estes and Mrs. Bruce Hobbs, all of Bremen, Ga. Mrs. J.B. Woody, of Tallapoosa, Ga. Mrs. H. M. Jones, of Akron, Ohio. Four sons, Mr. Grady Estes, of Bremen, Ga. Mr. Ray Estes, of Atlanta, Ga. Mr. T. O. Estes Thomasville, Ga. And Mr. Alton Estes of Charleston, S.C. Two brothers Mr. L. T. Long Bremen, Ga. and Mr. W. L. Long, Atlanta, Ga. 13 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted Thursday afternoon Nov. 11, 1954 at 2 o’clock from the Church of Christ in Bremen with A. C. Moore, minister officiating. Internment in Little Vine cemetery. The following gentlemen served as pallbearers: Messrs Joe Shell, Noble Westbrooks, Joe Wheeler, Ray Shackleford, Lowell Harper and Jasper Hayes.
Music was rendered by a quartet composed of Miss Opal McClung, Mr. Earl McClung, Mr. Frank Pritchard and Prof. B. F. Merritt under the direction of Mr. Frank Pritchard.

Ms. Flonnie Jane Mobley Estes, 88, of Felton, died Monday, June 9, 2003.
She was born Jan. 12, 1915, in Floyd County, the daughter of Pleasant William (Mobley) and Anna Lee (Ellis) Mobley. She was a member of Jackson Chapel Methodist Church.
Ms. Estes was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Clarence Mobley (1905-1909), Leo Mobley (1911-1960), Everett Mobley (1908-1965) and Harvey Mobley (1917-1982); and one sister, Ruby Lee Patterson (1921-1995) .
Survivors include one daughter (and son-in-law), Doris (and Michael) Robbins of Felton; one granddaughter and four great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 11 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Lester Litesey Funeral Home of Cedartown with Rev. Kenneth Lankford and Rev. James Rosser officiating. Interment followed in Jackson Chapel Cemetery.

George Daniel “Dan” Estes, 91, of Felton, died Saturday, April 14, 2001.
He was born December 6, 1909 in Forney, Cherokee County, AL, the son of Victory McElroy “Vic” Estes and Amanda Frances “Fannie” Huff Estes. He was a member of Jackson Chapel Methodist Church.
Mr. Estes was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Bobby Jeanett Estes (1937-1938), one brother, William “Bill” Estes (1919-2000); and seven sisters, Baby Sister Estes (1924-1924), Eula Estes (1905-1968) , Amanda Frances Hanson (1906-1966), Malissie Hanson (1908-1993), Olie Dempsey (1912-1995), Adella Minshew (1914-1993) and Zelpha Robinson Dempsey (1917-1998).
Survivors include his wife the former Miss Flonnie Mobley and a daughter and son-in-law , Doris and Michael Robbins of Buchanan; one granddaughter and four great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, April 18 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Lester Litesey Funeral Home of Cedartown with Rev. Kenneth Lankford and Rev. James Rosser officiating. Interment followed in Jackson Chapel Cemetery.

Mr. Grady Jackson Estes, of Route one, Bremen, passed away Tuesday, January 13, 1970, after an extended illness.

Mr. Estes was born in Haralson County, May 1, 1901 the son of the late Emma Long and Kim Estes. He was a retired employee of Sewell Mfg. Co., and a member of Bremen Lodge No. 456 F. & A.M.

Survived by his wife, Mrs. Lucile Harper Estes, one daughter, Mrs. Ray Allen, Carrollton, two sisters, Miss Bertie Estes, Bremen, and Mrs. Bruce Woody, Tallapoosa, three brothers, Mr. Ray Estes, Atlanta, Mr. T. C. Estes, Thomasville, and Mr. Alton Estes, Charleston, S.C. and three grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, January 14, at 2 p.m. from the chapel of the Hightower Funeral Home with Rev. Eulas Agan officiating. Internment Little Vine Cemetery.

Funeral Held On Wednesday For J. T. (Buck) Estes
Mr James T. (Buck) Estes, 31, died at his residence near Bremen early Tuesday morning, April 22. (1947) He had been in declining health for some time but only two weeks ago his condition grew worse, so his many relatives and friends were shocked to learn of his death.
Mr. Estes, the son of Mr. & Mrs. Kim Estes, was born in Haralson County, on February 19, 1916.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday afternoon at 3 o’clock from Little Vine Baptist Church, with Rev. Everett Currier, of Atlanta, officiating, with interment in the church cemetery.
The following gentlemen served as pallbearers: Messrs Oliver Holcombe, Joe Shell, Jasper Hayes, L.C. Wilson, Stanley Estes, and Lige Reid.
Several beautiful musical selections were rendered by the quartette composed of Messrs. Frank Pritchard, B.W. Merritt and Mr. and Mrs. Brock Eady. Beside his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Kim Estes, he is survived by five sisters, Mrs. H. M. Kim Estes

Mr. Kim Estes of route one, Bremen, passed away in a private hospital in Atlanta, Ga, early Wednesday morning April 1, 1964
Mr. Estes was born in Cherokee county, Alabama, July 3, 1879, the son of the late Melissa Clark Estes and Andrew Jackson Estes. His wife, the former Emma Long, preceded him in death November 9, 1954.

Survived by four daughters, Miss Alma Estes and Miss Bertie Estes, route one Bremen, Mrs. Bruce Hobbs, Bremen and Mrs.. J. B. Woody, Tallapoosa; four sons. Grady Estes, route one Bremen, T. 0. Estes, Thomasville, Mr. R. A. Estes, Charleston, S.C. and Ray Estes, Atlanta four half-brothers and six half-sisters and several grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted Friday, April 3, 1964 at 2 p.m. from the chapel of the Hightower Funeral Home with Frank Young, Minister and Elder I. M. Patty officiating. Internment was in Littlevine Baptist cemetery. The grandsons served as pallbearers.

Lincoln Estes

Lincoln Estes Dies From Natural Causes
A Bowdon resident, Lincoln Estes, was found dead near his cabin on the Tallapoosa River near Sperarman’s Lake Tuesday about 8:15 a.m. The coroner has ruled that he died of a heart attack and no evidence of foul play has been uncovered by the Haralson County Sheriff’s Department.
Estes, 60 was found slumped in a chair near his cabin by a neighbor, Russell Green, who called the Sheriff’s Department.
Sheriff Scott Roberts said Estes often frequented the cabin, located not far from where he was born, to fish on the weekends.
Dr. Ivan Elder, the Haralson County Coroner, examined the body Tuesday afternoon and said that he had been dead approximately 24 hours. Estes was known to have a heart condition and Dr. Elder confirmed that a number of bottles of medicine found on a table near the chair, were heart medications.
Sheriff Roberts said a thorough check of the area produced no signs of a struggle. Estes’ wallet was in his pocket and there was money in it.
“Because his wife was out of town, he evidently decided to stay over until Monday,” Roberts said. “Friends have told me he had said he wanted to die up there on the river.”
Funeral services for Estes were scheduled to be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday from the chapel of Hightower Funeral Home in Bremen. Interment was to be in Haralson Memory Gardens. (Now called Forest Lawn)
Estes is survived by his wife, Jewell Gilley Estes; two daughters, Mrs. Sterling Davis of Bremen and Mrs. Cecil Landers of Smyrna; one son, Robert Estes of Birmingham, Ala; six sisters, Mrs. Martha Beatenbough of Stelle, Ala, Mrs. Delia Waddell of Gadsden, Ala, Mrs. Mary Helton of Chattanooga, Tenn, Mrs. Millie Sweat of Atlanta, Mrs. Ola Waddell of Cedartown and Mrs. Ona Elder of Cedartown; one brother, George Estes of Cedartown; and five grandchildren.
The nephews served as pallbearers. The Sewell Quartet was in charge of the music.

Mrs. Ida Demeris Hall, 82, of Morgan Road, Temple, died Dec. 26, 1999.
Mrs. Hall was born on Oct. 15, 1917 in Gwinett County, the daughter of the late William Martin Tanner and Georgia Missouri Bradley Tanner.
She was a retired nursing aide and a member of Draketown Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Hall and a daughter, Carolyn Waddell.
Survivors include daughters, Elizabeth Duke of Temple and Linda Bruner of Merced, Calif.; son, Martin Hall of Missouri; sister, Mrs. Lola Ridgeway of Bremen and a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral services wer Dec. 29, at Draketown Baptist Church with the Rev. Marvin Gunter and the Rev. Cecil Hollis officiating. Music was by Sandra Goldin. Margaret Helen (Rado) Holley

HOLLEY, MARGARET HELEN (RADO)- died in 1945
Mrs. Margaret H. Holley passed away at her home on Toledo Road after being stricken with a celebreal hemmorage. She was born in 1895 in Manhattan, New York to the late Ignatz and Julia (Poor) Rado.
Mrs. Holley was a member of the Catholic Church and a resident of Lorain since 1936 coming from Budapest (Haralson County), Georgia.
She is survived by her husband, Frank John Holley Sr.; twin daughters Miss Margaret E. Holley and Miss Julia M. Holley and sons Louis S. Holley and Frank J. Holley Jr.; brothers Steve G. Rado, Albert J. “Red” Rado and William M. Rado of Lorain, Ohio.
She was preceeded in death by an infant sister, Julia Rado in 1900.
Funeral services were conducted and burial followed at Calvary Cemetery in Lorain, Ohio. With Reidy & Scanlin Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Rev. Olin Howard King

The Rev. Olin Howard King, 76, of Waco died Thursday, June 23, 1994, in a local hospital. He was born in Carroll County March 10, 1918, son of the late William T. and Annie Ardelia McGuire King. He worked at Sewell Manufacturing Co. before opening his own business, King’s Music Shoppe and Bookstore, Tallapoosa, in 1959 or 1960. He served in the U.S. Air Force in World War II and was a member of Antioch Baptist Church in the Buncombe community.
He began preaching in Septemeber 1955, retiring from the pastorate in 1986 after having pastored Riverside Baptist Church for three years and Bethany Baptist Church, both near Tallapoosa, for 24 years. He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Doris Barrow King; son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Marion W. King of Chipley, Fla.; daughter and son-in-law, Dr. Wayne and Joan Hamrick of Ringgold; sister, Myrtle Holdbrooks of Carrollton; brothers Melvin King of Cedartown, Arnold King of Fitzgerald, Q.P. King of Carrollton, Robert Huland King of Bremen and Willard King of Waco; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Services were Saturday, June 25, at 4 p.m. at Antioch Baptist Church with the Revs. Johnny Carden and Irvine Phillips and Dr. Wayne Hamrick officiating. Music was by a choir, directed by Dewey Caldwell and Clarence Vines, with the congregation joining in. Pallbearers were son, Marion W. King; grandsons Mark King, Micah Hamrick, Tony King, and Kevin King; and grandson-in-law, Ed Combs. Honarary pallbearers were preachers and his Sunday school class. She was the daughter of the late Mr. John William Thomas and the late Mrs. Ella Farr Thomas. Mrs. McBurnett was retired from Sewell Manufacturing Company. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Lemon McBurnett; four sisters, Mrs. Tharon (Eaves) Lammons, Mrs. Ruth Carroll, Mrs. Evelyn Hicks, and Mrs. Bonnie Johnson; three brothers, Mr. R. Old Grand Father Munroe departed this life Thursday morning, Dec. 17, and was buried at Bethlehem Friday. He was one of Haralson’s oldest and best citizens. He was said to be the oldest man living in the county; but now he is gone to rest. He was a member of the Baptist church and lived a faithful member up to death. Mrs. Munroe Dies Suddenly
The people of Buchanan were indeed shocked to learn of the death of Mrs. M. C. Munroe, which sad event occurred a few miles out from Buchanan last Friday evening. Mrs. Munroe was apparently enjoying the best of health up to the time of her death, and her sudden passing away -attributed to heart failure – cast a gloom of sadness over the entire community in which she had so long lived. Mrs. Munroe was the wife of B. O. Munroe, better known as “Uncle Ben,” whose death occurred several years ago. Mrs. Munroe was born in Haralson County on May 13, 1912. She was the daughter of the late Jacob B. Smith and the late Mrs. Eliza Crawford Smith. Mrs. Munroe was a homemaker and a a member of the Bremen First Baptist Church.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, H.C. “Cliff” Munroe and two sisters, Mrs. Ruby Davis and Mrs. Lillie Bolden.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Gerri Williams of Bremen; one son, J.V. Munroe of Atoka, Tenn.; four grandchildren, Sabrina Combs, Mark King, Robin Munroe and Heather Munroe; two step-grandchildren, Renate Raymond and Dean Williams; and a number of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Funeral services will be conducted from the graveside at the Bremen City Cemetery today, May 16, at 4 p.m. with Dr. J. Howard Mills officiating. Music will be rendered by Heather Munroe. Interment will follow in the Bremen City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be J.V. Munroe, Ed Combs, Joseph King, Mark King, Cliff Combs, and Jeremy Robinson. Honorary pallbearers will be Roger Chandler, Donnie Rowell, Eugene Posey, Johnny Ballew, Pearl Ballew, and Vickie McElroy.

Theodore Munroe
Theodore (Curley) Munroe of Lakeview Drive, Bremen, died Sept. 4, 1997.
Mr. Munroe was born in Harlason County on Nov. 22, 1927, son of the late Virgil Munroe and Carrie Brown Munroe. He was a retired employee of Temple Wood Products, was a veteran of the Korean Conflict and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include wife, Mrs. Juanita Estridge Munroe of Bremen; brother, Sidney Rudolph Munroe, of Bremen; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Graveside services were Sept. 6 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Rev. Don Stribling officiating.

Funeral Held At Bethlehem For Virgil Munroe
Mr. Virgil Maurice Munroe, of Rt. 2, Buchanan, Ga. passed away at his residence Wednesday evening, July 23, 1958 after an extended illness.
Mr. Munroe was born in Haralson County, Nov. 26, 1888, the son of the late Caroline Winkle Munroe and Benjamin Munroe. He was a farmer and a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church, Felton, Ga.
Survived by his wife, the former Carrie Lou Emma Brown, one daughter, Mrs. John Haney, Bremen, Ga., six sons, Mr. Clifford Munroe, Lawrenceville, Ga., Mr. Peerman Munroe, Griffin, Ga., Mr. Maurice Munroe, Buchanana, Ga., Mr. Emory Munroe and Mr. Curley Munroe, both of Bremen, Ga. and Mr. R. C. Munroe, Tallapoosa, Ga. 19 grandchildren and one great grand-daughter.
Funeral services were conducted Thursday afternoon, July 24, 1958 at 2:30 p.m. from Bethlehem Baptist Church, Felton, Ga. with Rev. J. T. Williams and Rev. Hershel Howard officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery. The Isom Lee Trio had charge of the music.
The following gentlemen served as pall bearers: Messrs. Homer Little, Howard Munroe, Asbury Munroe, Jimmie Folsom, M.W. King and Earl Rowell.

William Monroe
Mr. William Emery Monroe of Hurst Mill Road, Bremen, died Friday morning, April 26, 1996.
He was born in Haralson County on Nov. 4, 1924, son of the late Virgie Monroe and Carrie L. Brown Monroe. Mr. Monroe was a retired employee of the Douglas and Lomason Company.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lorene Eidson Monroe.
Survivors include five daughters, Diane McKenzie and Regina Shaw, both of Muscadine, Ala., Wanda Pitts of Carrollton, Cindy Estvanko and Jill Pendergraft, both of Bremen; two sons, Donald Monroe of Tallapoosa and Gary Monroe of Bremen; two brothers, Rudolph Monroe of Buchanan and Curley Munroe of Bremen; and 18 grandchildren.
Services were April 28 at Hightower Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Gordon Willingham, David Lester, W.A. Ivie and Charles Munroe officiating. Music was by Harold McWhorter. RADO, Albert Joseph “Red”
Albert J. Rado passed away on Sunday, April 10, 1960 at St Joseph Hospital in Lorain, Ohio of an extended illness.

Mr. Rado was born on October 2, 1893 in the Manhattan section of New York City to the late Ignatz and Julia Ann (Poor) Rado. He made his home in Budapest (Haralson County) Georgia prior to moving to Lorain in 1936.

Mr. Rado was employed by and retired from National Tube in Lorain where he was employed as a Millwright. He was a member of St. Ladislaus Roman Catholic Church in Lorain.

Mr. Rado is survived by his wife, Pauline (Estavanko) Rado of Lorain; daughters Mrs. Roy H. (Elizabeth) Conley and Miss Catherine Rado both of Lorain and by brother William M. Rado also of Lorain.

He was preceeded in death by a daughter, Helen Rado in 1931; sisters Julia Rado in 1900 and Mrs Frank J. (Margaret) Holley in 1945 and by a brother Steve G. Rado in 1953.

Visitation was held at the Emil Dovala Funeral Home in Lorain with closing prayers at the funeral home followed by a Mass at St. Ladislaud Roman Catholic Church by Rev. Fr. Zoltan Demko. Burial followed at Calvary Cemetery.

Helen Rado, infant daughter of Albert and Pauline (Estavanko) Rado of the Budapest community in Haralson County was stillborn this morning. She was their first child.
She is survuved by her distraught parents and grandparents, Mr and Mrs Adam Estavanko of the Nitra community.
Services and burial took place in the Budapest Cemetery at Budapest.

Pauline (Estavanko) Rado

RADO, Pauline Estavanko of Lorain, Ohio passed away at the home of her daughter on Saturday, December 18, 1993 of a short illness.
Mrs Rado born on March 15, 1910 in Hazelbrook, Pennsylvania to the late Adam and Maria (Grega) Estavanko. At the age of 5 she relacted with her family to the Slovak settlement of Nitra located in Haralson County, Georgia.
She married Albert J. “Red” Rado on November 18, 1929 in Buchanan, Georgia. She was a resident of the Nitra and Budapest communities until 1936 when she and her family moved to Lorain, Ohio.
She was employed at Natinal Tube Steel Mill in Lorain for 10 years and also was employed at servcie Overall and Lorain Towel Supply in Lorain, retiring in 1975. Mrs Rado was a member of St Ladislaus Catholic Church in lorain, Ohio.
Mrs Rado is survived by her daughters Mrs Roy H. (Elizabeth) Conley and Miss Catherine M. Rado, both of Lorain, Ohio. Three grandchildren, Mr. Joseph F. Conley and Mrs Timothy (Patricia) Cendrosky of Lorain, Ohio and Mrs Gordon (Susan) Mellen of Amherst, Ohio, and by 2 Great-Grandchildren.
She is also survived by sisters, Mrs Selma J. “Pete” (Mary) Shadrix and Mrs T. Riley (Helen) Brooks of Bremen, Georgia, Mrs Noah E. (Annie) Maddox of Lithia Springs, Georgia and Mrs Carl (Kate) Flatt of Detroit, Michigan.
Mrs Rado was preceeded in death by her father, Adam Estavanko in 1940, her mother Maria (Grega) Estavanko in 1915 and by her step-mother, Mrs Mary (Majda) Estavanko in 1972. she was also preceeded in death by a daughter, Helen Rado in 1931 and by brothers, Joseph S. Estavanko, Steven Estavanko, John Estavanko, Joseph M. Estavanko and Michael Estavanko and by sisters Maria Estavanko and Margaret Estavanko.
The family will receive friends on Monday, December 20th from 2:00 – 4:00 and 7:00 – 9:00 at the John R. Dovin Funeral Home in Lorain. Funeral services will be at held at 10:00am on Tuesday December 21st at St Ladislaus Catholic Church in Lorain with burial following in Calvary Cemetery in Lorain, Ohio.

William M. Rado, 70, of Lorain passed away at today, February 19 1969 at St Joseph Hospital after an extended illness. Born July 16, 1898 in Budapest (Haralson County) Georgia he had been a longtime Lorain resident.
Mr. Rado had worked locally over the years at Steel Stamping, Lorain Stove Works, National Tube and American Ship. He was a member of St John Roman Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife Mary H. (nee Kele) Rado and daughters Mrs Mandel (Emma) Smith of Elyria, Mrs. George (Helen) Tomasic of Lorain, Mrs. Steve (Mary) Zboran of Sheffield Village and Mrs. Joseph (Sharon) Lalak of California; a son William M. Rado Jr of Sheffield Lake and 8 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Ignatz Rado in 1906 and Julia (nee Poor) Rado in 1925, a daughter Evelyn Rado in 1939, sisters Julia Rado in 1900 and Margaret H. Holley in 1945; brothers Steve G. Rado in 1951 and Albert J. “Red” Rado in 1960.

Steve G. Rado, 60, of Lorain passed away at St Joseph Hospital on December 5, 1951 after a lengthly illness. Mr. Rado was born in 1891 in Manhattan (New York City) New York and had been a longtime Lorain resident coming from Budapest (Haralson County) Georgia in the early 1920’s.
He was employed at Thew Shovel at the time of his death. He was also a veteran of World War I having served in the Calvary Division. Mr. Rado was also a member of St Ladislaus Church in Lorain.
Survivors include his wife Mrs. Mary (nee Horvath) Rado, a daughter Miss Irene Rado of the home and a son George N. Rado; brothers Albert J. “Red” Rado and William M. “Bela” Rado both of Lorain.
He was preceded in death by sisters Julia Rado in 1900 and Mrs. Margaret H. Holley in 1945.
Visitation was held at Reidy Scanlan Funeral Home with a Mass held at St Ladislaus Church in Lorain. Burial followed at Calvary Cemetery in Lorain.

Mary (Horvath) Rado-Rice

RADO-RICE, Mrs. Mary Horvath Mrs. Mary Rado-Rice passed away in July 1989 at her home in Texas. She had been a long time resident of Lorain arriving here as a child from Hungary. She was born December 25, 1902 in Hungary.
Survivors include her son George N. Rado of Bellevue; daughter Mrs Ronald (Irene) Simpson of Lorain and 6 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband Steve G. Rado in 1951 and her second husband Davis Rice in 1978.
Funeral visitation took place at John R. Dovin Funeral Home with burial following at Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Avon.

Mr Selma J. “‘Pete” Shadrix passed away suddenly at our local Hospital in Bremen this morning. He was married on 12-28-1940 to Mary (Estavanko) Shadrix and she survives.
He is survived by a son, Mr & Mrs James R. Shadrix of Draketown and 2 grandchildren.
He was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church and was a veteran of the U S Army having served in France during WW II.
He was a retiree of Cluett Co in Bremen and also was employed by Haralson County as a bus driver for several years.
Services were conducted at OLPH Catholic Church in Carrollton by Msgr Michael Regan and burial followed at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Bremen with llightower Funeral Home and Chapel in charge of arrangements.

Eliza Ellen Smith

Funeral Friday For Mrs. J. B. Smith Held At Baptist Church
Funeral services were held at the Bremen Baptist Church last Friday morning at 11 o’clock for Mrs. Eliza Ellen Smith, wife of Mr. J. B. Smith, conducted by the pastor, Rev. Frederick E. Smith, assisted by Rev. W. O. Cook, of Cedartown, one of Mrs. Smith’s former pastors. A special song was rendered by Mr. J. E. Longino.
Mrs. Smith was 66 years of age and died at her home early Thursday morning following a few days illness. Her death was a great shock to her many friends. She was a good Christian woman and was a member of the Baptist church and had many friends who will mourn her passing.
She had a sweet disposition and made and held friends, as everyone who knew her loved her.
She is survived by her husband, Mr. J. B. Smith; four daughters, Mrs. W. P. Otwell, Bremen; Mrs. Ivy Davis, Bremen; Mrs. Clifford Munroe, Buchanan; and Mrs. Otis Bolden, Buchanan; two sons, J. W. Brookshire, Columbus; and M. M. Brookshire, Birmingham, Ala.
Pallbearers were W. P. Otwell, J. W. Smith, J. T. Smith, J. J. Smith, C. M. Brookshire, and Ivy Davis.

Mr. J. J. Smith Dies in Bremen
Mr. J. J. Smith, age 22 years, passed away at his home in Bremen at midnight last Thursday after a month’s illness.
The deceased was one of Bremen’s most popular young men and the news of his death was a shock to all who knew him. He has been in robust health until he was stricken about a month ago. He was a son of Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Smith, and is survived by his parents, his widow, and two small children.
Funeral services were held at the home of the deceased last Friday afternoon, being conducted by Rev. H. P. Shell (last name difficult to read), after which the body was interred in the cemetery at Bremen.

Mrs. Ella Farr Thomas, age 82, of Temple, route two, passed away in a private hospital Feb. 23, 1975. She was born in Carroll County, the daughter of the late Robert Farr and Alice Timmons Farr. Mrs. Thomas was a member of Draketown Baptist Church.
Survived by five daughters, Mrs. Leamon McBurnett, route one, Temple, Mrs. Ellis Johnson, Route two, Temple, Mrs. J. L. Carroll, Mrs. Hassel Hicks, route three, Rockmart; three sons, Robert A. Thomas, Frank Thomas, route two, Temple, Johnny Thomas, Dallas, Ga; one sister, Mrs. Eula Denmon, route two, Temple; twenty-three grandchildren and twenty-seven great grand-children. Her husband, J. W. Thomas, preceded her in death.
Funeral services were conducted Monday, Feb. 24, at 2 p.m. from Draketown Baptist Church with Rev. Thomas Garner and Rev. Marion Hurston officiating. Music was rendered by the Willing Workers Quartet. Pete Thomas, Jimmy Thomas, Bruce Thomas, Jimmy Thomas, Harris Hicks and Ralph Smith served as pallbearers. Interment was in Draketown Cemetery.

Mrs. Emma Elizabeth Weaver
Emma Elizabeth Little Weaver, 91, of 953 Ten Oaks Road, Buchanan, passed away Saturday, Dec. 20, 2003. She was born in Haralson County on March 21, 1912 and was retired from the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. in Cedartown.
Mrs. Weaver was preceded in death by: parents, Joseph and Evie Brown Little; husband, Morgan Little; sister, Inez Dyer; and brothers, Marion Little, Calvin Little and Alvin Little.
Survivors include her brother, Homer Little, of Cedartown and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Funeral services were conducted Monday, Dec. 22, at 3 p.m. from Hutcheson’s Memorial Chapel with Rev. Marvin Mobbs officiating. Interment followed in the Centre Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
