W. F. Quillian, 77, died at his home in Gilmer County, Ellijay, GA on July 4, 1946. A native of this county, Mr. Quillian resided in East Ellijay many years and was well-known through Gilmer, having once offered as a candidate for state senator. He was a carpenter by trade but some fifteen years ago moved to Ellijay where he established a grist mill which he continued to operate until his health gave way. He was preceded in death by daughter, Flora Quillian. Survivors include wife, Alice Foster Quillian; three daughters, Misses Frankie, Mary Louise and Dorothy Quillian. Funeral services were conducted July 6, 1946 at Watkins Memorial Methodist Church with the Rev. C. B. Cochran, pastor, officiating. Interment was in the Ellijay Cemetery. B. C. Logan & Son was in charge of the arrangements.
