Marriage Records
Wilkinson County Georgia
Submitted by R. Elizabeth Brewer

Wiley Jones and Eliza Pitman/Pittman
July 10, 1823

Joseph Yarborough and Lucinda Horn
December 22, 1823

William Hall and Nancy Slothern (Statham?)
January 1, 1824
I believe her last name was Statham, dau. of rev. soldier, Wm. Statham.
There were no Slotherns in W.C. or nearby.  Davidson also has her surname as "Statham."

Stephen Sutton and Polly Cook
June 20, 1824

John Stuckey and Martha Taylor
September 18, 1824
This could have been the John Stuckey who was first married to Rebecca, who later married Wm. Chambers.
His property was on the boundary between Wilkinson County/Laurens County.
Mostly associated with Laurens County, then moved west.

James Moss and Rebecca Faulk
September 19, 1824
They settled in Laurens County by 1830.

Robert Jerkins and Sarah Stuckey
December 26, 1827
She was the daughter of Old Simon Stuckey of W. C.  She and Robert married on December 26, 1827.
Jerkins was a early surname in W. C., sometimes spelled Jenkins; such as:  Davidson's History shows that Robert Jenkins married Sarah Stuckey on December 26, 1837 -- these were typo errors.

Moses Sutton and Eliza Webb
July 12, 1827
Moses enumerated as "Lutton" in 1830; enumerated as Mosses Sutten in 1840, etc.
Confirmed by Davidson's History of Wilkinson County.
