     Present church is located 1 mile from original site. Original leaders: Jackson Golden, William McCullar, Augustus Pennington, W. C. D. Carslile, Samuel I. Patterson, E. C. F. Golden, H. V. Golden, Vincent S. Jeanes, W. R. Jeanes.
     Some of the original members: J. D. Bales, C. C. Jones, J. A. Booth, Vincent Jeanes, Catherine Mills, W. A. Deason, Andrew Deason, Frank Eady, William Pennington and Perry McMullen. (Historical Collections of Wilkinson County, Joseph Maddox)
    The church members were probably former members of the old Nunn and Wheeler Church.
