Minnie Lee Starks Ingle, 78, of Gilmer County, Ellijay, GA, died June 1, 2000. Mrs. Ingle was born September 16, 1921, the daughter of Howard M. Starks and Cordelia Burgess. She is survived by her husband, Rev. Leon Ingle; daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon and Hal Port, Hilda and Neil Carnes and Kay Lorraine Knight; daughter-in-law, Anita Boring Ingle; nine grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and sister, Annie Mae McGahee. Funeral services were held June 4, 2000 at East Ellijay Baptist Church with Rev. Edmund Miller and Rev. Steve Fields officiating. Interment was in the East Ellijay Baptist Church Cemetery. Montgomery B. Smith, 83, died May 25, 1952 in Gilmer County, East Ellijay, GA. Mr. Smith spent practically his entire life in East Ellijay. He owned and operated a farm on Turniptown but devoted most of his time up until the county voted in stocklaw, to buying and shipping cattle.
